Robocalls dumped on Americans this year

0

…and counting — about 1,600 every second. DuckingBlock is built to duck them.

1 list. Every spammer. Updated daily On-device & private Robocallers? Get ducked.
How it works

Three taps. Then quiet.

DuckingBlock plugs into the call-blocking tools already built into your iPhone — no weird workarounds, no forwarding your calls to a stranger.

1

Install & flip the switch

Download the app, then enable DuckingBlock under Settings → Phone → Call Blocking & Identification. One toggle and you’re armed.

2

We load the spam list

DuckingBlock quietly syncs a confirmed-spam number list to your phone. Premium refreshes it every single day as new scam numbers surface.

3

Spam gets silently ducked

Known-spam numbers are declined before your phone lights up. Suspected ones get a “Spam” caller-ID label so you decide in a glance.

Straight with you: iOS lets a blocker app silence numbers it knows are spam and label caller ID — it can’t read your call history or block everyone. For total lockdown, pair DuckingBlock with Apple’s built-in “Silence Unknown Callers.” We’ll walk you through it in-app.
Setup

Up and running in 20 seconds.

Enable DuckingBlock once in Settings — here’s exactly how, tap by tap.

  1. 1
Open Settings → Phone. Scroll to the green Phone row and tap it.
  2. 2
Tap “Call Blocking & Identification.” It’s a few rows down the Phone screen.
  3. 3
Flip the DuckingBlock switch on. It turns green — that’s it, you’re armed.
One-time setup. iOS asks you to enable it once — DuckingBlock can’t turn itself on (Apple’s rule), so this shows you the 3 taps.
What it blocks

Scammers hate this duck.

The same five calls, over and over, from numbers that change every week. DuckingBlock knows them all.

Robocalls

Auto-dialers, dead-air hang-ups, and “press 1” pre-recorded nonsense.

Scams & “the IRS”

Fake IRS agents, “your car’s extended warranty,” bogus Social Security freezes.

Debt-relief & “business loans”

Pre-approved offers, debt-forgiveness pitches, and loans you never asked about.

Neighbor spoofing

Numbers faked to match your area code and prefix so you’ll pick up. Not today.

Privacy

Your calls never leave your phone.

DuckingBlock works by handing iOS a list of known-spam numbers and letting your phone do the blocking. We don’t see who calls you, we don’t log your call history, and we never sell a thing — because we never have it.

The blocklist is built from public public complaint robocall-complaint data and vetted community reports, not from snooping on your contacts.

How a number gets listed — and how to appeal →

  • No call log, ever

Blocking happens on-device. Your incoming numbers are never uploaded.

  • Public-data sourced

Built on public complaint records + community reports.

  • Nothing sold

No ad trackers, no data brokers. The app is the whole business.

FAQ

Quack-fast answers.

Does it really block calls? +

Yes. DuckingBlock registers as a Call Directory extension in iOS, so numbers on our confirmed-spam list are declined before your phone rings. Suspected numbers get a “Spam” label on caller ID so you can judge the rest at a glance.

Why can’t it block ALL unknown numbers? +

Apple only lets a blocker app act on numbers it specifically knows are spam — it can’t silence every unknown caller on its own (that would also kill your doctor, your delivery driver, and that job you applied for). For a full lockdown, turn on Apple’s built-in Silence Unknown Callers alongside DuckingBlock. We show you exactly how in the app.

Is my data private? +

Completely. All blocking happens on your device. We never receive your call history, your contacts, or which numbers called you. The only thing that moves is the spam list coming to your phone — never your data leaving it.

How do numbers get on the list? +

We combine public complaint records with vetted reports from DuckingBlock users. A number needs repeated, corroborated reports before it’s added — one grumpy tap doesn’t get your ex blocked for everyone. Full rules are on our listing criteria page.

How do I report or appeal a number? +

Tap Report on any call inside the app to flag a spammer. If a legitimate number was listed by mistake, anyone can request a review from the listing & appeal page — we re-check against the evidence and remove numbers that don’t belong.

Can I cancel anytime? +

Anytime, from your App Store subscriptions — no phone tree, no “retention specialist.” Cancel and you keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for, then drop back to Free. Ducking obviously.
